From the Piano Bench Concert Series

Dear readers,

I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful start of your Summer! We are very excited for the upcoming performances and fun things we will be doing throughout the Summer!

I wanted to share with you a project I have been working on in the past few months. It is called From the Piano Bench Concert Series. The purpose of this project is to educate and inspire the general public about piano music.

We believe music can serve as a catalyst for social connection and support, breaking down barriers and bridging divides. Emerging evidence indicates that music has the potential to promote social connectedness, and develop emotional competence.

Also, communities can leverage music’s innate ability to connect people and foster a sense of belonging through music programs, choirs, and music education initiatives. These activities can create inclusive spaces where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, collaborate, and build relationships based on shared musical interests. These experiences promote social cohesion, combat loneliness, and provide a support network that can positively impact overall well-being.

Throughout my career, I have the opportunity to collaborate with local organizations to bring classical music to the concert halls to to churches, retirement homes, hospitals, public street pianos and through our social media.

Recently, I also had the awesome opportunity of being interviewed by Fox 13 through the partnership with Tampa Tunes, an organization made up of a dynamic group of local artists and musicians dedicated to creating original and inspiring works of art. Stay tuned! More on that soon!!!

(Interview for Fox 13 at Ybor)

Check out some of my videos and feel free to share with everyone you know. Let's spread more awareness about the power of music!
